Dr. Diane Martinez-Hursh, DOM brings her studies of Oriental Theory and Curanderismo Healing to her workshops and her clients. She is now sharing them with us at Abaton Center of Healing Arts by having these classes and we are most grateful.
She studied with Master Chongkol Settakorn of the International Institute of Thai Massage in Thailand and has taught for fourteen years in New Mexico, Caracas, Venezuela, Cuernavaca, and Mexico City.
Dr. Hursh has a Masters in Oriental Medicine and did an intensive internship in China for a year. She is also the Spiritual Director at the School of Inner Healing and Spiritual Growth.

Thai massage is a Sangha Buddist tradition over 2500 years old. Which reflects the four divind states of Buddhist tradition; loving-kindness, compassion, vicarious joy and balance. This unique body work focuses on balancing energy and creating wholeness of body, mind and soul. Thai massage is an ancient form of healing which uses gentle rocking, deep stretching, rhythmic compression to promote healing and vitality. This workshop will integrate this tradition with the Japanese traditions.
