Cranial Sacral 1
Learn the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the “sacred bones” of this system. A protocol to facilitate the body’s natural healing process to maintain physical and emotional balance will be taught and practiced.
This class serves as a prerequisite to Cranial Sacral 2.
Cranial Sacral Level 1A
This class for those students who want to review the information from the level 1 class, have longer time to practice the protocol with more individual attention from the instructors and go deeper into the understanding and feeling of the work without the stress of a first time learner.
Cranial Sacral Level 2
Students will continue our exploration of this system by focusing on the dysfunctions of the sphenoid and the cranial base that are not treated with techniques from the Cranial 1 class. It is very exciting to be working so intimately with the sphenoid, the “mother bone”. We will then venture into working with the facial bones and bones of the hard palate in the mouth. Although they are not directly connected to the sphenoid, their indirect connection can profoundly affect the other cranial bones. The students will learn the anatomy, physiology, pathology and treatment protocol of these bones.
Prerequisites: Cranial I Class
We have three levels of Cranial Sacral Therapy at Abaton Center of Healing Arts. This series is instructed by Judy Gray and Gregory Goodson, who bring over 20 years of experience in the education and practice of this modality.
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle non-invasive hands-on method of body therapy using palpations of the cerebrospinal fluid to observe, evaluate, correct and enhance the function of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Judy and Gregory have gained a great respect and awe for this system in our bodies and how the function or dysfunction of this system can affect the body in so many subtle and eventually not so subtle ways. They believe that the spirit or soul of each being lives in the cerebral spinal fluid, and that it is an honor and gift to participate in connection to and treatment of this system.
